My summer plan

I'm sure that next summer will be different and really special. Not because I will work for the first time, no, no, since I will spend one month hosted in a Amercian family in Florida. I will live in Jacksonville, which is the largest city in the U.S. state of Florida, with Marina, Sílvia, Carla and Anna.

Once there, we will have English daily lessons, to try to improve this language. We will also visit some important cities like Orlando and we will do varied excursions such us going to Walt Disney World Resort. But, above all we will swim and surf over those typical big waves of Florida.

I think that this trip will be a great experience in life and I am eager that 2nd July comes soon.

One of my favourite bands: PCD

One of my favourite bands is Pussycat Dolls. Pussycat Dolls, or PCD, is a pop, dance, hip hop and R&B group. It was formed in 1995 in Los Angeles (California) and it’s made up with Nicole Scherzinger (the main singer), Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt, Melody Thoronton and Jessica Sutta. Recently the group has been increased with a new singer, Carmit Bachar.
Pussycat Dolls’ first album, PCD, was released in 2005. “Don’t Cha” was their first hit which made this band famous everywhere. Their second album, Doll Domination, was published in 2008 with their single “When I grow up”, followed by “Whatcha think about that” in collaboration with Missy Elliot and “I hate this part” that was a global success. The “World Domination Tour” started in January 2009 and it will be around the world. Lately, the Pussycat Dolls have recorded a new single “Jai Ho” for the film “Slumdog Millionaire”.

Their songs have reached the best positions in some countries and the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) have awarded some of them with different prizes.
